The Truth about 1990:
It was Lobo who protected Miss Tribb in the comedic romp through the outer cosmos. And she WAS his fourth grade teacher, BTW. Deathstroke got his own title the following year.
Speaking of which, Now it’s time for 2 Truths/1 Lie. The year is 1991:
- Robin got his own title for the first time ever. Tim Drake fired up his sports car named Redbird and started on his own solo career. The series was a success and would last 183 issues before getting a name change and reboot. It also paved way for other titles like Nightwing and Batgirl.
- Finally after all these years Lois Lane saw Clark Kent for who he really was, Superman. In a land mark issue, a battle with Silver Banshee made Clark realized he need to come clean with his fiancé. So he took off his glasses and opened his shirt up to her.
- In 1989 and 1990, the miniseries Emerald Darn was such a hit DC released another named Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn II, both of which delved into the past of Hal Jordan. With the first miniseries skimming over Hal’s jail time for a drunk-driving escaped, this six-issue series detailed his prison experience (Orange Is The New Green?). While Hal was in jail, Sinestro, still a Green Lantern, would go on to abuse his power and in the process be dethroned as ruler of his home world and evicted from the GLC.
